For video consultations & fittings
Scheduling the appointment
- Use our online booking system to see availability and book your appointment: DarkGarden.SimplyBook.Me
- Made-to-Order Consultation covers most custom corset inquiries. The $50 fee is applied as a deposit as long as the appointment is kept. Missed appointments, late arrivals, and late cancellations will result in forfeiture of the $50 booking deposit.
- Use the Bespoke Consultation if you are seeking our most advanced fit or a unique style. Learn more about our bespoke corsets here. The $500 fee is applied in full as a deposit as long as the appointment is kept. Missed appointments, late arrivals, and late cancellations will result in forfeiture of $50 from your booking deposit.
- Choose the Medical Corset Consultation for orthopedic corsetry. There is a $75 consultation fee that is not applied to the order.
- Schedule a “Fitting” appointment rather than a consultation only once you have a fitter corset from our silhouette library or a bespoke mockup in hand.
- Please schedule your fitting appointment ASAP. MTO corsets not returned within 2 weeks are considered purchased in accordance with our return window and a new order must be placed for any modifications to style, size, fabric, etc.
Preparing for your appointment
- Secure a measuring tape.
- We recommend having a friend or partner on hand during the appointment to assist with lacing and measuring, if possible.
- Review the lacing instructions and video on our website. Your fitter will walk you through adjusting the lacing and other fit concerns during the appointment.
- Check your email for an invitation to a Google Meet for your video appointment.
- Figure out where you will set your device for the appointment, confirming:
- Strong WiFi signal
- Clear lighting (we recommend using a ring light if possible)
- A clear and stable view of your face and body, at approximately the same level as your torso in order to avoid distortion (we recommend using a phone holder if possible)
- Stable seating, like a dining table chair, for the “sit test” in fitting appointments
Just before your appointment
- Set up your device as described above.
- For a fitting appointment, get into the corset as best as you are able. We’ll help you refine the lacing!
- Overbust corsets should be tried against bare skin (or a thin strapless camisole) for an accurate fit. Please be mindful not to transfer scent (deodorant, perfume, etc.) onto the provided fitter, as many of our staff have scent allergies.
- Wear a thin garment on your lower half, such as leggings. Thick fabric or a waistband that cuts in at your stomach or hips will affect the accuracy of the fit.
During your appointment
- Your designer will take notes about fit and fabric.
- Basic pricing may be discussed.
After your appointment
- You’ll receive an email quote that reflects fabric, fit, and details discussed.
-
Contact us any time via email or text with additional thoughts or questions.

Return your fitter corset or mockup to our San Francisco location within 2 weeks. Your order’s turnaround will be calculated based on the date we receive the returned fitter. Payment for shipping to us will be your responsibility, but we will continue to cover shipping products to you.
-
The original purchase price of the fitter will be applied as a deposit once it has been returned to us. An additional deposit may be required to meet the 50% threshold to enter production. Fitter corsets not returned within 2 weeks are considered purchased in accordance with our return window and a new order must be placed for any modifications to style, size, fabric, etc.
