Create an accountSusan Davis Antique Button and Czech Glass Fly Necklace
Susan Davis, founder of Grandmother’s Buttons Jewelry first saw samples of this gorgeous glass button of a fly (la mouche in French) on her trip to the Czech Republic in 2017. It enthralled her for so many reasons—an unusual subject, beautiful detailing, jewel-like colors. Her problem was deciding which of the dozen color combinations offered did she want? She finally came up with her own combination of emerald, white, gold, and red.
Only a few glass button pressers still work in the Czech Republic, and she doesn’t know how long she will be able to get these gorgeous buttons from them.
This necklace can be worn long, at 32 inches, or doubled up and clasped in the front at 16 inches.
