The Waspie gently reduces the waist and looks fantastic over a simple dress or blouse and skirt combo. It is shorter at the sides than the Cincher and is similar to waist nippers of the 1950s. Also available with dramatic center points as the Corselette, this makes an easy to wear foundation garment when all you need is a smaller waistline.

In-stock standard fit corsets will be shipped on the next business day after your order is placed. If your desired corset is not in-stock, we will notify you, and your corset will be Made to Order at no additional charge.

I really like my waspie corset. I went in for a fitting and decided on this style because it fit me well and wasn't too high in the back so I could wear it under more clothing without the outline of it showing through. It definitely can create a dramatic difference if laced tightly, but for long periods of wear I usually only lace down ~2". The cinching looks dramatic from the front or 3/4 angle, but from the side it's just solid and flat not narrow looking. I think this contributes to why it's comfortable, the squish has somewhere to go. I like weighted blankets, and this feels like being squished/hugged by a weighted blanket around my middle except I can move around. I would recommend an in-person fitting if you haven't worn a corset before to see if it's something you enjoy. Also it's not as great to wear to a big dinner since you feel full faster (unless that's something you're looking for?).

The one issue I have is I chose the busk to be a dark pearlescent color, and unfortunately it's already worn off some spots on the peg parts of the busk despite light usage. But it's not super noticeable so it doesn't bother me too much, just says bad things about the durability of the finishes.
