When is the Rummage Sale?
Our next Rummage Sale will be July 12-14, 2024.
Is Rummage Sale a ticketed event?
We highly encourage you reserve your preferred time ahead of time, for your safety, comfort, and preferred shopping experience. We offer both paid VIP/early bird tickets and free tickets. Walk ups are accommodated when possible. Reserve your spot early to ensure entry at your desired time.
What discounts do you offer during Rummage Sale?
It varies from year to year. In general, we do not offer discounts on new orders, only floor stock, samples, “seconds” quality corsets, etc. Discounts range from 10-50% or more depending on the desirability and level of wear on the piece. This event is generally the only time you can buy one of our fashion show/collection ensembles.
Where does the Rummage Sale take place?
The Rummage Sale is best experienced in person at the San Francisco flagship boutique. Many corsets available have a personalized or bespoke fit, and should ideally be tried on before purchase. New Orleans stock corsets, all in the standard fit, will also be discounted.
We will conclude the event with a livestream of the remaining inventory.
Consignment corsets will be accepted from June 1st through June 30th
The Rummage Sale presents a rare opportunity to buy or sell a pre-loved Dark Garden corset. Simply put, if you bring (or mail) your corset to our San Francisco flagship during the above dates, we will handle the fitting and sale during Rummage! We cannot guarantee that your corset will sell, but we do our best to enable a Cinderella moment!
Please keep in mind that your corset will be presented amongst other discounted corsets. We will help evaluate your corset’s “to order” price and recommend pricing at least 15% below that number.

Entry, timing, & ticketing logistics
Even before the age of social distancing, we found that the Rummage Sale became a more pleasant experience once we switched to a ticketing system which allowed us to moderate the number of shoppers in the building without resorting to a long line down the block. We offer a range of time slots, including a very limited VIP hour and early bird times. The earlier you attend the sale, the more options you will have.
Sizes & stock
Each year, the size range presented at Rummage Sale simply depends on what is available. That includes our floor stock, “seconds” corsets, archive pieces, and those brought to us on consignment. We do our best to maintain an inclusive size range in our floor stock throughout the year, but cannot control the inventory levels for any given size at Rummage Sale.
VIP hour
Our Rummage Sale VIP event offers extremely limited attendance and a high level of personal attention from our most skilled corset fitters. Your ticket price includes a gift bag, store credit towards purchases made that night, and even a discount on new orders placed, in addition to first pick of all Rummage Sale offerings. You’re welcome to bring a non-shopping plus one with you, for conversation, dressing-room feedback, and purchasing decision triage.
