In our 30 years of business in San Francisco, we’ve seen a lot of change in our home city and in the world. While nothing could have prepared us for COVID-19 and its ongoing effects, we are a resilient team of women. With the support of our amazing clients—like you—we are weathering the storm and learning new ways of doing business so we can continue supporting uncommon beauty.
Since March 2020 we have made many changes at our stores. Keeping our customers and employees safe from COVID-19 is our top priority. We continue to evaluate our policies and make necessary additions and changes as the situation evolves and as the CDC and local health departments offer new guidelines.
Our retail doors are open with safety precautions in place, and should you prefer, we offer live video consultations to help you determine the best of our product range for you. Booking a virtual consultation is free and easy—we’d love to talk to you. As the world falls down, we’re here for you if you want to do something special for yourself, whether it’s browsing our shops for trinkets or indulging in a fully custom corset, handmade right in our San Francisco flagship by a corset lover like yourself.
Corset Production, Turnarounds, & Shipping
Our team is a little smaller these days than it was at the beginning of the year. We’re dedicated to creating custom corsets at the same level of quality you expect from Dark Garden, and we’re doing our best to honor our pre-COVID turnaround times. In-stock corsets typically ship out next-day; if your corset is made-to-order we aim for a 2 week turnaround. Disruptions in the supply chain for materials, the possibility of quarantine for any of our staff members, and interruptions in postal service may all affect the speed with which you receive your order. Please let us know if you need your corset by a particular date and we will do our best to accommodate it. A rush turnaround may be possible for an additional fee. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Visiting Our Boutiques
The following courtesies & safety measures are in place at both our San Francisco and New Orleans locations.
- Hand sanitizer can be found at the front door and within the boutique
- Gloves available upon customer request & available at front door
- Masks are mandatory and worn at all times by staff and clients
- Sanitizing wipes and sprays readily available
- All measuring tapes are sanitized before and after use
- All clothing/corsets are sanitized after being tried on/worn
- Staff required to wash hands frequently, and disinfect throughout the day
